My great grandfather was Jacob Amant;
his brother, who lived with him for a while, was Albert Amant. My
great grandfather graduated from the Bradford School of Horology, and
owned a watch / jewelry store in Chandlerville. Albert is also
listed on several Census reports as a jeweler, while their other
brothers, Charles and Morris, owned a haberdashery in Chandlerville.
